On St. Patrick’s Day, everyone’s Irish. So if you’re celebrating the big day, it might be time to take a dip into the Irish language!

Irish is one of the oldest and most historical written languages on earth. It is a Celtic language which comes from Old Irish, thought by scholars to have been used in Ireland for over 2,500 years. The earliest evidence of the language being used dates back to the 5th century. Today, just under two million people can speak the language.
